A walk through Uley, Elcombe, Woodmancote, Dursley and Cam Long Down.

An Ornithological Ramble

Distance 6.5 Miles 

Grade of Walk - Moderate Walk

Approximate duration 5.5 hours

Meet at Dursley Market Place, Dursley GL11 5BZ    -    Grid Reference ST 756 981

Bring drink and packed lunch.  Registered assistance dogs only. Family Friendly walk. This walk will visit a pub or cafe during or after the walk (at own cost).

This walk takes in a good mix of habitat including open farmland at high and low levels taking in Uley, Crawley Hill and Cam Long Down. There are a surprising number of bird species to be seen on a good day. Bring binoculars.

A Riparian Ramble

Distance 10 Miles 

Grade of Walk - Moderate Walk

Approximate duration 5.5 hours

Meet at Lay By on east side of A38 on north entrance to Cambridge GL2 7AL -  Grid Reference SO 751 039

Bring drink and packed lunch.  Registered assistance dogs only.

An easy 10 mile level walk from Cambridge to Saul Junction and back alongside lakes, canals, rivers and through Frampton’s famous village green.

Cam’s Historic Graveyards

Grade of Walk - Easy walk

Approximate duration 2 hours

Meet outside Berry Blue, Cam, GL11 5PS    -    Grid Reference S0 749 003

Bring drink.  Registered assistance dogs only. Family Friendly walk. 

A heritage of 4 Cam churchyards to see individual graves and points of historic interest. There will be several stops of 2-6 minutes whilst information is given.

Building Distance Health Walk

A walk mainly off road giving views of The Severn Vale. One gentle climb through woodlands, there may be livestock grazing and stiles to cross.

Three paths around North Nibley, Cotswold Way, steep climb from Stancombe to Stinchcombe Hill, woodland paths downhill to Dursley.

A walk taking in the Cotswold Way, Stinchcombe, Taits Hill and the Quarry.  A steep climb to start.

 A walk around Dursley, Gloucestershire

Explore aspects of history and architecture through the work of the architectural historian, Nicholas Pevsner, in his Buildings of England series and consider perceptions of townscapes past and present. Learn about the buildings suggested as the most significant examples in the town. Those attending will be given information on the perambulation which they can conduct at their leisure.
