Dursley Walking Festival 2017

What have we got planned for our 2017 Walking Festival?

Dursley Library have provided us with our latest addition to the programme with a walk based on their GPS embroidery walk.

Tried Nordic Pole walking? Now is your chance with 2 Nordic Pole events during this years festival.

Our celebration event this year to commemorate our 6th walking festival will feature music from Hosts on the Air and also Mark Cummins from BBC Radio Gloucester.

Other walks now added to our programme include a 3.5 mile walk staring from Cam on the Thursday morning, a birdwatching walk on the Friday, a 4 and a 1/4 hour walk on the Saturday and a 10 mile walk on the Sunday (Three Hills and Tyndale Monument). All of these as well as those listed below are included in our festival, take your pick from 27 planned walks. Full details soon.

Dog Walk - Friday 6th October in the afternoon - bring your dog along for this enjoyable walk with Dursley Lions. Great prize for one lucky dog and Goodie bags available for well behaved dogs.

Geology Walk in the hills around Dursley on Saturday 7th October

Bus walk, catch the bus from Dursley to Stonehouse and enjoy a walk back to Dursley along part of the Cotswold Way, Friday 6th October.

  Heritage walks in both Dursley and Cam over the weekend. Also new this year "Uley through the Ages" - a walk taking in Hetty Peglers Tump, Uley Long Barrow and more.

And lots more walks to do over the weekend plus our annual quiz at the Community Centre on the Friday night, an illustrated talk on Cam and the Winterbothams on the Saturday night and then tea and cakes on the Sunday afternoon.
